Personnel File

Full Name: Slaughter, Robert Alan

Codename: Sergeant Slaughter

D.O.B: 28 March 1950

Grade: E-9 (Sergeant Major)

Billet: Head Drill Instructor, G.I. Joe Combined Military Team

Skills: Subject is proficient in all U.S. issued small arms and most assault weapons. Has knowledge of explosive ordinance (grenade, mortar, etc) and is a skilled boxer. Highly decorated, subject received a Silver Star in the Viet Nam conflict, as well as the Purple Heart.

Born to a Missouri high school football coach and a bank teller, Slaughter led a normal American childhood. By the age of fourteen, he had grown to six feet, four inches and two hundred and forty five pounds of solid muscle. He was a standout linebacker for the high school football team and a state champion wrestler. Although he had numerous athletic scholarships available, he chose to enlist into the Marine Corps. Slaughter had a very close relationship to his father, Robert Sr. Stern and very strict, the senior Slaughter pushed his son hard to get good grades and excel in everything he did. Robert Sr. had spent two years in the Pacific during World War II island-hopping through the Japanese held islands dotting the Pacific Ocean. He was considered a war hero in the small town he lived in and his son was determined to follow in his footsteps.

The day after he graduated high school, Slaughter left for Parris Island. Driven and determined, he graduated top of his class and shipped for Viet Nam. He served with distinction in Viet Nam for two years, and only returned to the States after a bullet clipped his lung in combat. After recovering, Slaughter served with distinction in each of his assignments, earning promotions and citations rapidly. In 1981, he was assigned to the newly created G.I. Joe team, which had been struggling against the terrorist organization COBRA.

Slaughter’s initiative and courage in that conflict is well documented, as he gave the Joe team its first victory over COBRA. Slaughter was promoted to his current billet and has served well since that time, training Marines for duty as G.I. Joes. In 1986, he was promoted to Sergeant Major.

Commanding Officer Comments:  One of the best Marines to ever come off of the Island. Loyal to a fault. Has turned down commissions numerous times. An excellent candidate for the Pentagon. Would make an outstanding officer, but being a Sergeant is burned into his blood. Slaughter is a weapon, and a weapon must be used to its utmost potential. Slaughter will serve in the field as long as possible.
